From Brahms to Blueprints: A 25-Year Journey in Perspective.
I started my career as a music school dropout.
At nineteen, I watched a classmate play Brahms with a mastery I couldn’t touch. My professor candidly pointed out that even he was just one of 200 applicants for a part-time teaching role. I realized right then that I hadn't found my "Brahms" yet.
That search led me to an elective photography class and my grandfather’s 35mm Vivitar. I took that camera to a local rodeo to document friends trying to stay alive on two-ton bulls. The moment those images came to life in the darkroom, the music stopped and my real career began.
The Education of a Professional — I spent my early years assisting top-tier pros across fashion, celebrity, and automotive photography. It was an exotic, fast-paced world that taught me a vital lesson: photography is a career, not a lifestyle. While I loved the energy of celebrity sets, I found my true calling in Architecture. The work is quiet, methodical, and technically demanding—the perfect counterweight to my own energy.
Guettler Photography — I opened my doors on April Fool’s Day in 2006. I was sitting in my "office", which was actually a corner of the laundry room, when the phone rang with my first commission for a landscape architecture firm.
Since that day, I’ve navigated the industry’s booms and slumps with a singular focus: providing my clients with the technical mastery their work deserves.
Today, I bring twenty-five years of that perspective to every project I document. I believe in the power of a definitive portfolio, the importance of technical integrity, and a professional partnership that ensures your work is captured perfectly the first time.
